THE PROTECTOR

THE NEW NOVEL FROM THE #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE THIS MAN TRILOGY AND ONE NIGHT TRILOGY!

Protector Book

By Jodi Ellen Malpas  –  In stores September 6, 2016

People think they have Camille Logan nailed: daddy’s girl; beautiful, spoiled young woman with her father’s bank balance to fund her lifestyle. But Camille is determined to have a life free from his strings. Out on her own, she’s made mistakes, including one that found her clawing her way back after a stint in rehab and plenty of bad press. Now, after fighting so hard to be independent and happy, she finds her life threatened as a result of her father’s ruthless business dealings. Caught between resentment and fear, Camille prepares herself for the measures her father will take to protect her. But nothing could prepare her for the ex-SAS sniper who crashes into her life.

Jake Sharp resides in his own personal hell. He was distracted from duty once before, and the consequences were devastating–both personally and professionally. He vowed never to let that happen again. Accepting the job of bodyguard to Camille Logan isn’t the kind of distraction from his demons he should take. Women and Jake don’t mix well, yet protecting the heiress seems the lesser of two evils. But Jake soon discovers that she isn’t the woman she’s perceived to be. She’s warm, compassionate, her presence settling, and his duty to protect her soon goes deeper than a well-paid job, no matter how hard he fights it. He needs absolution. He comes to need Camille. But he knows he can’t have both.

I started reading this book while I was on vacation last week.  So far I am really enjoying the characters, especially Cami and the extended story of her fashion business that she is trying to get off the ground.  *NOTE* there is a lot of explicit language and themes in THE PROTECTOR book.   I like to put a rating on the books I place on my site similar to a movie rating and this would be rated “R” in my opinion.

  1. What I love about romance novels is the feeling I get when reading them. It really pulls me into the book and has me wanting more!

  2. The thing I like about romance novels is the happy endings. Life is tough, and I like to get away,

  3. I like reading about the characters in romance novels, how the met, what they have in common, will they make it! 🙂

  4. I love the mystery and romance that goes with it and wander if they will get together from all the obstacles that are before them.

  5. I love reading about people of different personalities and backgrounds find each other and fall in love.

  6. I like the different ways people meet up and fall in love. It is a nice feeling of falling in love.

  7. What draws me to a novel is the setting and the characters. I really like suspense/romance. I like contemporary romance best

  8. I love the sometimes ridiculous situations characters in romance books find themselves in, and still manage to end up together and happy in the end.

  9. I love romance novels because, if well written, it brings emotions and thoughts to the forefront and as you keep reading – your part of that world. In today’s troubled time, escapism can be a blessing, even ifs its just for little while. “The Protector” looks like its going to be a great read and I’m always thankful to find a book that provides a good story line as well as has you thinking about the characters – long after you’ve read the last page.

  10. I like that there always happy endings but I also like the story that gets them there.

  11. I love reading about the whole process of how he wins her heart – especially if she’s one of those that’s been scorned and hard to get close to

  12. I love romance novels because they take me to a place where I would love to be (in a romantic situation). I have been a widow from a really young age and just have not had the desire for another man in my life so the romance novels feel that gap.

  13. I love them because they make me feel better and escape from reality for awhile.

  14. I like that romance novels always make you want the two main characters to end up together.
