Farmers Branch Aquatics Center – #FBh2o

If you’re in North Texas I have a hidden gem of a place where your whole family can have fun year round.  It’s the Farmers Branch Aquatics Center.

Not far to get to, the Farmers Branch Aquatics Center is nestled into the community just a few blocks from Josey Lane.  When you drive by you’ll immediately see the Frog Pond outdoor pools and slides which are open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

But what you may not have known is that The Farmers Branch Aquatics Center also has an indoor pool facility as well.

The Margaret Young Natatorium is open year round and features both a lap pool and a therapy pool.

The lap pool has 4 lanes that are 25 yards and ranges in depth from 4’6″ to 8′.  The therapy pool is 767 square feet with a depth range of 3′ 8″ to 4′ 5″.  It’s kept at a nice warm temperature too 🙂

There are amenities available to make your swimming experience safe and enjoyable including puddle jumpers for kids and even an an aquatic wheel chair so everyone has the ability to get in the pool.

As you can see from my photos when we first arrived at the facility a class was taking place in the therapy pool.  The Farmers Branch Aquatics Center offers a variety of classes for all ages in addition to their memberships, seasonal and daily passes.

The locker rooms provide all you need to get ready for before and after your swimming activities.  With plenty of locker storage, bathrooms, and showers (with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash), you’ll be comfortable knowing your belongings are safe while you’re in the pools and you don’t need to pack your bags with extra toiletries to clean off afterward.

The Farmers Branch Aquatics Center is a great place to hold a birthday party.

It has a 480 square foot indoor party room that is available for rent, year round.  The party room includes tables and chairs for guests.  Hosts may bring in food and drink (no alcohol).  A whole day of swimming is included!  If you book a party there, they even have some cute invitations that you can download on their website to invite your guests.  The party room can be rented for other events as well, and during summer outdoor pavilions are available to rent.
