Smashburger Fires Up the Grills in Their New Lewisville, TX Location

There are few things in life that are better than a tasty burger and the smashingly fresh approach that Smashburger brings to juicy, 100% Certified Angus Beef® is perfection.  Their fresh ingredients and rosemary and garlic-seasoned Smashfries are the best.  Lucky for me a new Smashburger location just opened up around the block from me in Lewisville, TX.

Their modestly priced line up of burgers in both beef and chicken is unique and offers locally inspired items like the regional burger, as well as regional sides & local craft beer.

My husband and I were invited to the new location for a media tasting at the new Smashburger Lewisville TX location on their opening weekend.  First let me talk about the food.

I chose to have the Avocado Club Burger.  This Angus burger on a multi-grain bun was perfection.  The burger is topped with fresh avocado, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing & mayo.  I have to honestly say this is the best burger I have had in a long time.

My husband said his Big Bacon Cheeseburger served up big taste.

But what I have to really rave about are the Smashfries.  Their signature fries are tossed in Italian olive oil, rosemary & garlic.

AND they’re available in Sweet Potato too!  Oh they are delectable.

Other sides include Smashburger’s Haystack Onions.  Thin yellow onion slices battered & fried.

Or how about some flavorful fried pickles?! 🙂

Our meal was definitely mouthwatering.

But the hearty food, variety of sides and our tickled taste buds were only part of what made our experience of Smashburger Lewisville TX so enjoyable.  It was wonderful to sit down with owner Rick Posey, who was so friendly, and chat about the business, his passion for it and his generous heart for his employees and the community.  The fact that Smashburger-Lewisville’s grand opening weekend, 10 percent of gross sales were donated to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County just embodies Rick’s personality, which we noticed as soon as he took time from his busy restaurant to sit down and talk with us.  The organization’s mission is providing justice and healing for young victims of sexual or physical abuse, and ensure no child carries their secret and burden alone.  What a great way to help within the community that this new Smashburger is located in.

No question he values his staff and wants to do what’s right by them too.  Not only is he giving young people in the area a way to earn money to save toward college or other expenses, he is also offering a 401K plan for them to save for their futures,unusual in a fast casual industry like this.  I’m pretty sure his staff feels the same way about him as they were all as wonderful as the food.  You could tell they were excited about the grand opening and their part in it.

The new Smashburger Lewisville TX location is situated in Valley Square Shopping Center which is located at 724 W Main Street, Suite 500, Lewisville, TX.  If you’re familiar with the area, it’s right across the street from the Walmart and Sam’s Club.  The dining room has seating for 64 guests and patio seating for 20. It is the first of several Smashburger restaurants The Posey Restaurant Group plans to open in the Metroplex. Regular restaurant hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
