Nine years ago I embarked on a journey that changed my life; when I saw a friend’s weight loss, I jumped on the bandwagon to lose weight, and haven’t looked back since.
I lost 30 pounds using a weight loss program, exercise and a lot of determination. I will admit that it wasn’t fast, but it was a safe way to lose weight.
What prompted me to lose the weight, was the one or two pounds that I had been gaining, and holding on to each year, slowly creeping up on me. Being only 4’9″, every extra pound makes a huge difference on my frame, and I knew that along with a larger wardrobe, I’d also be opening myself up to diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure if I didn’t do anything about it.
Simply watching the calorie, fat and fiber in take of the foods I was eating (with the help of a weight loss program), exercising five out of seven days a week, and learning that I don’t have to finish that piece of dessert on the plate, got me to my goal weight. Nine years later…I’m only 4 pounds above it. For someone looming on 40 that’s not too shabby, if I do say so myself!
Thankfully, I have had no issues surrounding my weight loss – because of the exercise the ‘flabby skin’ was at a minimum, and I tried to (and still do) eat pretty healthy so I had no adverse problems due to vitamin or mineral difficiencies either. I’ve read that Chattanooga hormone replacement therapy can help if one has had levels change in their bodies because of weight loss, but I myself have never tried it, so can’t comment on it. I tend to use “chocolate therapy” which likely defeats the purpose!
So back to the question at hand – I personally have never found a FAST, safe and reliable weight loss program, at least not one that KEEPS the weight off – but safe and reliable weight loss can come from watching what you eat and exercising. Some of us need the accountability of a weight loss program to achieve it, because we just can’t do it on our own, but for most people if you follow the program, the weight will come off and stay off, in a safe way. I’m proof .
I’m writing about Chattanooga weight loss in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.
