I received complimentary tickets for my family to SEA LIFE Aquarium Grapevine.
If you’re looking for an indoor activity to do with the kids in the DFW area of Texas, then SEA LIFE Aquarium at Grapevine Mills Mall is a place to check out. It’s a venue that everyone in the family will enjoy and it’s educational too! With more than 5,000 sea creatures to view it’s an underwater adventure…where you don’t have to get wet!
The layout of the aquarium really makes everything so intriguing for the kids, and the adults will be just as amazed by all the different sea life they view in the aquariums. There is plenty of viewing area at every station throughout the facility, with some parts having visibility through the floors as well! There are some cute little viewable nooks for the kids to crawl into in order to get a closer look at the fish too.
The areas have “Fin Facts” for the kids to learn more about the particular varieties in the aquariums as well as alongside the viewing areas the species names and photos plus interesting information. Make sure to plan your visit around the at least one of the fun talks and/or feeding times to learn more about the various creatures.
SEA LIFE also has a Quiz Trail for the kids. When you arrive at the aquarium your children will receive a scratch off card (like a lottery ticket) and as you make your way through the attraction they will stop at the different Quiz Trail questions and they can scratch off what they think is the correct answer. It’s a fun interactive way for the kids to learn a bit more about the sea life they’re viewing.
Taking a walk through the 360 degree ocean tunnel is a cool experience for all ages.
Take a look at the décor in the aquarium… it looks like something you’d see on a movie set!
From sea horses to sharks there is so much to look at.
Speaking of sharks…. the #SharkMission at SEA LIFE Grapevine is now open! Here you can immerse yourself in the life of a shark, play interactive games, experience spectacular visuals and learn fascinating facts about these majestic predators of the deep. Our daughter had a great time on this huge interactive wall game!
And don’t worry….
The Interactive Rockpool allows you to check out starfish and shark eggs up close. Touching is not just allowed…it’s encouraged!
In this area there is also an additional place for your kids to climb and crawl and get out a bit more energy!
Of course as you make your way out there is a gift shop to pick up some souvenirs to remember your day at SEA LIFE.
We will definitely be back at SEA LIFE again and recommend it to families as a great activity when in the DFW area.
