There are days I’m so thankful that I no longer work a 9 to 5 job, with just two fifteen minute coffee breaks. I get to have coffee break whenever I want to by blogging….and believe me, it’s a whole lot more than just two!
I have a ‘Coffee Bar’ set up in my dining room with coffee machines, a proliferation of hot and cold beverage flavors, sugars, creamers and syrups. And the other day I added to them a couple of Torani Syrups for some more fun to stir into my caffeine choices.
Flavored syrups are usually highlighted by using in coffee drinks. I myself enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Colombian coffee with a splash of Torani Sugar Free Hazelnut Syrup added to it. The syrup really helps to enhance the overall body of your coffee choice.
But the assumption that Torani flavored syrups are only for coffee is silly. You can use it for all kinds of things. In an effort to have some flavors of the season, yet not ‘overload’ the scale, I came up with a recipe to enjoy a Pumpkin Pie Cooler that does not have an obscene amount of calories, using the Torani Sugar Free Pumpkin Pie Syrup. When I sat down to figure it out, I calculated about 135 calories per 8 oz serving. Your calorie count may vary depending on what brand of ingredients you use. Here is how I made it:
Pumpkin Pie Cooler
• 4 oz Torani Sugar Free Pumpkin Pie Syrup
• 4 oz Fat Free Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer
• 3 oz Pumpkin Ice Cream
• 2 cups of crushed ice
• 1 pasteurized egg (look at your grocery store in the eggs for these, it’s best not to use a raw egg – these pasteurized eggs look and are used just like regular eggs, but you don’t have to worry about getting sick by using them without cooking)
• Whipped Cream & Nutmeg for garnish
Blend all ingredients together, pour into glasses, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Makes two 8 oz. servings, or one large 16 oz. serving.

I have used their carmel flavor in my french toast batter. Delicious.
