Are you ready for STAR WARS day?  Every year on May the Fourth (…be with you), fans all over the world celebrate our favorite sci-fi saga.  This year, we want you to feel the Force with Hasbro toys and games based on the wildly popular ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS mobile game from Rovio Entertainment.  These innovative toys and games capture all the launching nad destroying fun of the app in physical form, featuring your favorite STAR WARS characters re-imagined as high-flying ANGRY BIRDS and villainous pigs.

Hasbro sent us the ANGRY BIRDS™ STAR WARS® AT-AT™ ATTACK BATTLE GAME to play with and share our thoughts.  Seeing as we are huge Star Wars fans and we also like Angry Birds we were excited to open the box and have some fun with this.

The AT-AT ATTACK BATTLE GAME (msrp $39.99), includes 21 blocks to create the signature AT-AT, a LIGHTSABER LAUNCHER and 12 ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS figures — including two that are exclusive to this set! Players can also unlock ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS in-app content with a special code in each pack.

You start off by assembling the “Pig” At-At.  That in itself is almost like a little game, kind of like trying to set up a house of cards and hoping not to knock it down before you’re completed with it!  When you’re finished building it, you place the ‘pig’ stormtroopers and Vader on it to try and knock down.  Yes, I know our pictures have the Rebel Angry Birds on the At-At rather than the Imperials…kids…making up their own universe here, where father and son re-unite and chaos ensues I guess, LOL!

Then you put your bird on the launcher and try and bring the At-At structure down along with all the figures you placed on it.

Success!  I have to admit, I was as bad at this as I am at the mobile app – physics never was my strong subject LOL!  My daugher though had fun launching the bird to hit the At-At and I know this will be a hit with my nephews when they come and visit. 

Hasbro also sent us an ANGRY BIRDS^TM STAR WARS® FOAM FLYER (msrp $9.99).  Toss around these 3.5-inch soft foam, iconic characters for a new way to play ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS! Available in LUKE SKYWALKER, CHEWBACCA, DARTH VADER and STORMTROOPER. Each sold separately.

But I think I just might keep this fellow next to my computer and use it as a stress ball when I need to relieve some tension .
